Most entrepreneurs make lousy accountants, and whereas a few are good at both really they are the exception to the rule. Still, entrepreneurs must know a thing or two about accounting and keeping track of the score board, and have the financial data needed to make the right business decisions. Over the years as an entrepreneur I've learned a bit about accounting, often the hard way, and those mistakes while recoverable, well, let's just say they tend hurt the most.
